This Heron is for Hertfordshire. At special request.




In Norfolk they are called Hansa,
In old English they are sometimes called Herne.
I imagine in Herfordshire they say,
"Oh gosh dear, look at that lovely Heron with it's long graceful neck."
Either way it is the same fish spearing hunched old man bird.
I like birds with long legs and dark brooding eyes.
